Overview

When you take a break from work or go on a holiday, the last thing you want is for your 6:00 AM weekday alarm to wake you up. Disabling alarms manually one by one is tedious, and remembering to re-enable them all after your vacation is even harder. Vacation Mode solves this problem gracefully.

By simply toggling the master switch, Vacation Mode disables all your alarms instantly. Once your vacation is over, toggling it off restores your alarms to the exact state (enabled or disabled) they were in before you left.

  • One-Tap Suspension: A single master switch disables all alarms in the app to ensure your rest is completely undisturbed.
  • Intelligent Restoration: ReAlarm takes a snapshot of your currently enabled alarms when Vacation Mode is turned on. When you disable Vacation Mode, it uses this snapshot to restore only the alarms you actually used before the holiday.
  • Exempt Essential Alarms: Have an important medication reminder that must keep ringing? You can easily mark specific alarms as "exempt," keeping them active even while Vacation Mode silences everything else.

How to Setup

  1. Open Settings from the main screen menu.
  2. Tap on Vacation Mode under the General section.
  3. Scroll through your list of alarms and check the box next to any alarm that should remain active (e.g., medication reminders).
  4. Toggle the master Vacation Mode switch at the top of the screen to ON.
  5. Enjoy your uninterrupted holiday! Turn the master switch OFF when you return.

Gemini Integration

Vacation Mode is fully integrated with Gemini App Functions. You can control it completely hands-free using your voice or text prompts.

  • Enable: "Turn on vacation mode in ReAlarm" or "Enable vacation mode."
  • Disable: "Turn off vacation mode in ReAlarm" or "Disable vacation mode."

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I create a new alarm while Vacation Mode is active?
The newly created alarm will be disabled by default. If you need it to ring while you're still on vacation, you must manually enable it or mark it as an exempt alarm in the Vacation Mode settings.
Will Vacation Mode restore an alarm I manually deleted?
No. If you delete an alarm while Vacation Mode is active, ReAlarm will clean up its record. It cannot restore an alarm that no longer exists in your database.
